Pet friendly Couple Job – Munich Area – Germany

A new client of Greycoat Lumleys with a young family based in the Munich area is seeking an energetic and experienced domestic couple who are particularly pet friendly. The family live in beautiful countryside with lake views and is recruiting a new Household team. The Principals have recently welcomed Twins and already have a 5 year old boy so are recruiting a Nanny and have a Butler/House Manager as well as other members of staff already in place.

This role is seeking an organised duo who are able to prioritise and maintain high standards of housekeeping in the main House. There is a guest house that would require cleaning and maintenance care each week also, but this is not regularly used.  The role will also involve daily ironing and laundry care for children’s clothes, adults’ clothes, bed linen and other household laundry.

At least one of the couples should be a confident cooking light household meals for two or three people but would not be required to cook for large dinner parties or family gatherings. The family would outsource a private chef and catering if entertaining. The cooking required would be simple daily cooking alongside other members of the household team, the family observes a Vegan diet.   

A collaborative team mentality is important to have form the successful couple. The couple should also have experience with light household maintenance, driving for Principals and errand runs and maintaining clean outdoor spaces. Any experience in a rural setting would also be beneficial as the family keep pets as well as sheep that need daily feeding and attention. No veterinary skills are required form this position, but the family is very pet friendly and only hopes to find candidates who share a willingness to care for and who are kind to animals.

Daily Duties:

  • Housekeeping of general areas and bedrooms

  • Laundry and Ironing, including fine fabric care.

  • Daily food preparation and light cooking – including baby and toddler meals

  • Outdoor Maintenance

  • Light gardening

  • Driving and shopping for the family

  • Pet care and walking/feeding

  • Fluency in the English Language – Italian or German are also advantageous

  • Driver – at least one candidate must be a driver

  • Being detail orientated, process driven and focused on the best results

  • Flexibility to work a 5.5 day working week

The role comes with a lovely private apartment of 65 square metres and lakeside views at no additional cost to the candidates. The role is also open to candidates with a small pet cat or dog. This role is offered on a 5-day working week but candidates should expect to be somewhat flexible with their working hours due to the expectations of working in the Private Household Industry.
