Cannes Formal Service & Cooking Couple Job

We are currently seeking a dynamic and experienced Couple to work in a beautiful property just outside of Cannes, France. The ideal candidates will have a strong background in private catering and hospitality, and previous experience working in private households and estates. The property is an old, beautiful home, dating back to 1900, and has been a very happy place for the current owners for 20 years.

Responsibilities

  • Managing and maintaining the property, ensuring it is kept in pristine condition at all times

  • Supervise housekeeping staff to reach outstanding standards including cleaning, laundry, and organization. A hands on approach may be necessary to do this

  • Managing all aspects of private catering and hospitality for the household, including meal preparation, dining service, and event coordination

  • Ensuring the security and safety of the property at all times

  • Driving duties as needed, including running errands and airport transfers

  • Overseeing additional help and cleaners under the supervision of the lady of the house

  • Accommodating another couple who come in to babysit the property when annual leave is taken

Qualifications

  • Proven experience working as a Couple in a private household or estate

  • Confident cooking skills

  • Knowledge of formal table settings and fine dining service

  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

  • Ability to work well under pressure and maintain discretion at all times

  • Valid driver's licenses and clean driving records for both candidates

Day-to-day

The day-to-day tasks will vary and require flexibility but will predominantly involve ensuring the smooth running of the property, including cleaning, organizing, meal preparation and service, and attending to the needs of the household members and guests. The successful candidates will work closely together to ensure that all tasks are completed efficiently and to the highest standard. The property is never left empty, and it can get really busy during the summer months.

Candidate Suitability:

  • Must have an EU passport or Permanent Carte de Sejour

  • Previous experience in a private household with at least 4 years of longevity 

  • Verifiable References 

Ideal start date: May or June  

Salary advised: €6,000 Net combined
