Greycoat Lumleys has the pleasure to bring to the market an incredible Couple position on the French Riviera.
The principals will consider either a couple or two individuals for this iconic property which has recently been purchased by the new owners, so this position is also advertised as two individual roles on the Greycoat Lumleys website.
The property is well known on the French Riviera and has iconic architecture, it also has a small domain, vineyards and olive groves, sea views and true period architecture. The property has extensive gardens, 8 bedrooms as well as many of the facilities that you would expect such as, Gym, wellness area and swimming pool.
The client seeks an experienced Domestic couple with at least five years of experience in the Private Household industry (with good longevity) and preferably a knowledge of the local area. The successful couple would have skills in Facility Management and detailed Housekeeping. These roles are more clearly defined in the below Job brief.
The family who has children are in direct contact with Greycoat Lumleys, through the lady Principal so that Interviews can be arranged directly with the Principals.
Lady in the Couple
Role: Housekeeper in full-time
Hours: 40H / week (availability on weekends & public holidays necessary)
Language: Fluent in English, and/or in German (French is also very beneficial)
Responsibilities:
- Professional cleaning of residence (high- quality furnishing)
- Exclusive laundry care (silk, cashmere etc)
- Errands and shopping (e.g. grocery shopping, taking special clothes to an official laundry store, post office etc.)
- Breakfast preparation and occasional cooking
- Supervision and coordination of craftsmen
Must haves:
- Many years of professional experience as a housekeeper in an upscale household / high-class / VIP environment
- Excellent references from previous employers
- Independent and proactive way of working
- Profound cleaning experience of high-quality materials (Marble, parkette / slate floor etc.)
- Valid EU passport
- Valid drivers license
- Willingness to work at the weekends and during holiday season
- Holiday must be taken in parallel with Principals.
- During weekends there might be shift work (08:00-13:00 and 18:00-21:00).
- Cooking skills (e.g. for preparing breakfast and light / basic meals)
- High level of Discreetness, reliability, and responsibility
- Independent and proactive way of working
- Coordination of one to two cleaning staff

Gentleman in the couple
Role: HANDS ON Facility Manage/Gardener
Hours: 40H / week
Language: Fluent in English, and/or in German (French is also very beneficial)
Responsibilities:
- Minor repairs and maintenance of all buildings and objects in the house and on the property
- Technical versed (High-end technology throughout the whole residence - Heating, ventilation, sanitation)
- Supervision and coordination of craftsmen
- Maintenance of the entire private garden area including lawn and plant care, watering, keeping the pool area clean and all work required to maintain the garden and driveway.
- Maintenance of the vehicle fleet (manual washing of vehicles and refuelling)
Must haves:
- Many years of professional experience in facility management
- Excellent references from previous employers
- Independent and proactive way of working
- Valid EU passport
- Valid drivers license
- Willingness to work at the weekends and during holiday season when technical problems occur. Nothing ever breaks when you expect it to mentality.
- High level of discretion, reliability, and responsibility

The position comes with accommodation provided. However, the accommodation needs to be discussed with the consultant responsible for the couple role, Archie McClintock as for the first year the accommodation would be shared with other household staff while refurbishment on more functional couple accommodation is undertaken.
