Gardener Job (Live in or Daily) near Shrewsbury, Shropshire - Full-time to start ASAP - 3 bed accommodation - £35,000+ GPA
Our client is looking for an experienced Sole Gardener to care for and maintain a beautiful 3 acre formal garden near Shrewsbury. The owners have been hands on with the maintenance of the garden over the last 12 years but now, although they are keen to still be involved in the garden, they are looking for someone with good strong plant knowledge to come and look after the garden on a full-time basis.
The garden itself covers 3 acres and is formal in nature. Included in the garden are areas of formal lawn, a vegetable garden, walled garden, perennials and extensive Yew hedging.
The Gardener will be responsible for all of the hands on gardening including lawn care, planting , pruning, hedge trimming and generally keeping the garden maintained to a high standard.
Horticultural qualifications would be desirable but not essential as long as the candidate as extensive plant knowledge.
The Gardener will also need to have experience with the use and care of garden machinery.
The owners are looking for a dedicated gardener who can help them keep the garden looking at its best year round - both owners are keen gardeners and would like to still be able to "potter" and have some involvement in the garden.
This role is offered as a live in or live out role for a local candidate.
Accommodation can be offered in the form of a 3 bed bungalow (Rent free but candidate to pay own utility bills)
Full-time role normally Monday to Friday
£35,000+ GPA depending on experience and if you require accommodation
