Live in or Live out House Manager Job in Essex

Purpose:
Oversee the client's private lives, households, and properties, ensuring smooth daily operations, effective team management, and efficient financial oversight.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Family & PA Support: Act as a trusted advisor, manage family requests, and maintain relationships with family, friends, and associates.

  • Team Management: Recruit, train, and oversee staff; manage schedules and foster a motivated team.

  • Household Operations: Maintain high standards of cleanliness and presentation; oversee contractors, budgets, inventories, and projects; support family businesses.

  • Financial Management: Manage household budgets, expenditures, and revenue.

  • Health & Safety: Ensure compliance, safety protocols, and record-keeping across estates.

  • Estate Coordination: Work closely with the Estate Manager to align priorities and operations.

Requirements:

  • Broad experience across estate management and departmental functions.

  • Strong knowledge of listed buildings, compliance, and technical systems (IT, AV, HVAC).

  • Excellent organisation, discretion, leadership, and problem-solving skills.

  • Hands-on, adaptable, and able to manage multiple priorities.

Reporting & Relationships:

  • Reports directly to the Family and collaborates with Heads of Department.

  • Works in close partnership with the Estate Manager.

  • Maintains professional, discreet, and respectful relationships with the Family and wider team.

Salary: £50,000 + Depending on experience

Accommodation: Separate cottage, pets and partners may be considered
