Live In Housekeeper Job - Leicester, Leicestershire - start ASAP - 1 bed flat accommodation (cottage available from early 2025) - £30,000+ GPA

Our client is looking to employ a Housekeeper to look after a large period property just north of Leicester.  The property is home to a couple who live there full time and they entertain occasionally (shooting parties during the season) and also have visiting family.

The owners will remain hands on with the care and upkeep of the property and require the Housekeeper to assist them with cleaning and keeping the home running smoothly.  They are not looking for a candidate to come in and take over the running of their home, more to support them on a day to day basis.  They will consider candidates with less Housekeeping experience but it is a traditional property so the Housekeeper should have some experience with the care of antiques and silver.

Duties will include:

  • Hands on cleaning

  • Bed changing

  • Laundry (mainly bedding and towels)

  • Occasionally help with guests

  • Very occasional basic cooking

  • Sometimes helping with shopping and running errands

  • Assisting with some basic administration a couple of hours per week

Must be a driver and have excellent references and an Enhanced DBS check

Accommodation - currently a 1 bed flat over the old stables - rent free, council tax and water paid by the employer - cottage could be available from early 2025 - small dog considered
