Housekeeper Job – Usk Monmouthshire South Wales - £45,000+ GPA

Our client is seeking a highly experienced and discreet housekeeper to support a private couple in their beautiful countryside residence in Wales. This is a full-time, live-out position suited to someone who takes immense pride in their work, has a meticulous eye for detail, and brings a warm, can-do attitude to their role.

Key Responsibilities:
Housekeeping & Presentation
Daily cleaning, tidying, and upkeep of the interior of the home to an impeccable standard
Deep cleaning on a rotational basis (e.g. windows, crockery, silverware, etc.)
Care for fine furnishings, artwork, antiques, and delicate surfaces
Laundry and ironing, including care of high-end garments, cashmeres and linens
Wardrobe management and seasonal rotation of clothing
Flower arranging and maintaining fresh floral displays

Cooking & Kitchen Duties
Preparing fresh, seasonal meals using local and/or homegrown ingredients
Baking cakes and other baked goods as requested
Menu planning and food preparation for the principals and for occasional informal entertaining
Kitchen inventory management and maintaining cleanliness to the highest hygiene standards

Errands, Pet Care & Household Management
Grocery and ingredient shopping, with a focus on local produce and specialty items
Coordination with the kitchen garden to incorporate homegrown produce into meals
Running errands such as collecting prescriptions, posting mail, etc.
Liaising with service providers, tradespeople, and deliveries
Overseeing household stock levels (cleaning products, pantry, etc.)
Occasional care of household pets (cats and dogs), including feeding, dog walking, and vet visits if required
Arranging trusted house sitters or pet sitters when the principals are away

General Assistant Duties
Assisting the principals with light administrative tasks and paperwork
Diary and appointment management as needed
Travel packing/unpacking and occasional travel support
Maintaining a smooth, well-organized, and welcoming home environment

Bed & Breakfast Management
Managing the diary and booking system for the Bed & Breakfast Monday-Friday in line with agreed protocols
Ensuring diary management supports appropriate rest and time off for the housekeeper
Meeting and greeting guests to provide a warm and professional welcome
Preparing guest rooms to an impeccable standard
Preparing and serving breakfast for B&B guests, accommodating dietary needs and adhering strictly to food hygiene procedures
Managing and maintaining breakfast and guest food supplies, ensuring quality, freshness, and compliance with health and safety standards

Candidate Requirements:
Proven experience in a similar role within a high-end private household or boutique hospitality environment
Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to high standards
Trustworthy, discreet, and respectful of privacy
Confident cook with a love of seasonal, locally sourced produce
Comfortable around animals, with a genuine affection for pets
Strong organisational and communication skills
Flexible and proactive, with a warm and professional presence
Comfortable managing guest interactions, bookings, and special events
Full UK driving licence (essential)
DBS check will be required

Full-Time – 40 hours per week normally Monday to Friday with flexibility

Salary £45,000+ GPA (will offer a highly competitive salary for the right candidate)
