Housekeeper Job – Holmes Chapel, Cheshire – 30-35 hours per week - £18.00 to £20.00 per hour

Our client is looking for an experienced Housekeeper to take on a role looking after a large 5 bedroom family home near Holmes Chapel.   Busy household with 3 school aged children and a dog.  They are looking for someone who can do all hands on cleaning, laundry and ironing as well as generally keep the home running smoothly.

Main duties:

  • Maintain the home to a consistently high standard across all rooms and living spaces

  • Daily cleaning, dusting, sweeping, vacuuming, and surface care

  • Complete laundry management, including ironing and careful wardrobe organisation

  • Prepare simple family meals or children’s meals after school when required

  • Keep the kitchen, utility room, pantry, and storage areas well-organised and stocked

  • Assist with household errands and occasional shopping

  • Accept deliveries and oversee basic household supplies replenishment

  • Provide a supportive presence within the family home (no sole-charge childcare)

  • Light pet care such as feeding, letting out, and walks

Candidate Requirements:

  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in a private household

  • Strong references that can be verified

  • Discreet, reliable, and child-friendly

  • Able to work independently and manage time effectively

  • Current Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain one)

  • Full driving licence essential

Hours – 30-35 hours per week over Monday to Friday – will consider a 4 or 5 day week – some occasional flexibility required on weekends

Salary based on £18.00 to £20.00 per hour
