Housekeeper Job Prestbury Cheshire – Self contained apartment accommodation – March / April 2026 start - £40,000+ depending on the candidate

Our client is looking for an experienced Housekeeper to look after a large property in Prestbury Cheshire.   The family will be moving into the property in March / April 2026 and are keen to have a Housekeeper in place before they move in. The Housekeeper will then be able to help them with moving in and organising the house and implement good Housekeeping systems.

The Housekeeper needs to have a keen eye for detail, be able to manage their own time and be proactive identifying what needs to be done on any day, week or month.   The property will be finished to a high standard and will be home to 2 adults with no pets and visiting children.  The couple are busy businesspeople who travel frequently so the Housekeeper must be able to run the home in their absence, have it ready for their return and generally support them in their busy lives.

Duties will include:

  • Initially to help them with the house move and implementing Housekeeping systems

  • Hands on cleaning of the house – only a small part of the house is used on a daily basis

  • All dusting, hoovering, mopping, polishing etc

  • Household and personal laundry

  • Shopping for household and personal items

  • Food shopping

  • Running errands

  • Wardrobe management

  • Packing and unpacking suitcases

  • Liaising with trades and contractors

  • Assisting with organising dinner parties

  • Ideally to also help with basic cooking – preparation of a simple healthy evening meal for a maximum of 3 people (although not essential)

  • Tidying up the kitchen in the evening

Driver essential, excellent references and Enhanced DBS check

Working hours – to be discussed but this could be a lunchtime start working through until 9.30pm or a split shift working mornings and evenings.   Cover is needed on a Saturday (split-shift) and Sunday morning.  Ideally The Housekeeper would have Sunday afternoon off, all day Monday and return to work Tuesday evening but two consecutive days off would also be considered.  As the couple travel frequently, some flexibility on this is needed so the Housekeeper could swap their days off.

£40,000+ GPA depending on experience

March / April 2026 start
