Live In Housekeeper/Nanny Job in Jersey 

An excellent position on the beautiful Island of Jersey working for a client in their newly renovated property which is a 5-bedroom property as well as guest cottages on the estates. 

The Couple have 1 child who is 7 years old, they require an all-rounder who is very child friendly as you will be required to assist with school runs, meal times and babysitting duties. 

As a Housekeeper you will look after the cleaning, washing and ironing, manage the running of the house, dealing with contractors. Ideally you will be confident to cook some simple family meals.

The family require a professional and discrete candidate who is fun loving and bubbly personality who is looking for a role with responsibility and working in a family environment. The family would like someone who plans to set down roots long term and become part of the family. The candidate must be very attentive to details, meticulous and highly organized, high proficiency in English and a pleasant demeanour are essential. The candidate must be able to work competently and effectively without being overseen.

Confidentiality and utter discretion is vital and the candidate must desire to commit long term.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for cleaning and maintaining the household to excellent standards;

  • Child Minding 7 Year old

  • Prepare and cook meals for the family

  • Pay high attention to detail;

  • Travel with the family if required;

  • Ironing and laundry;

  • Table service & table setup;

  • Record and report all faults and damage that requires maintenance work;

  • Ensure all housekeeping equipment is used safely and effectively;

  • Ensure the correct use of cleaning agents on all surfaces;

  • Assist with packing and unpacking;

  • Care for Antiques;

  • All areas of the home must be kept immaculate at all times;

  • Run errands and shop for the household

  • And other household choirs

It is essential that you have housekeeping experience in a private household for over 3 years with references to back this up. You will also need to have demonstrated longevity in your previous roles. 

Package:

Salary is negotiable and dependant on experience and hours agreed to work.

A separate accommodation will be provided within the grounds, consisting of a bedroom, bathroom and kitchen, living space.

A return flight to the home country once per year for an annual 4 weeks holiday will be provided.

Visa will be arranged if required by the employer.

Days: This position could be based on a 5 or 6 day week, with days off during the week.

Hours: A split shift with a break in the middle of the day.   

Candidates must have:

Previous experience in a similar role

Loyal, patient, and prepared to juggle different itineraries

Make things happen with at times limited, or rushed information

Good spoken English

Driving License
