Live in Couple Job in Somerset & Devon
We have a lovely position for a Couple who split their time between their two homes in Somerset & Devon. The property in Somerset is an old 5 bedroom farm house and a larger modern property in Devon. They have 2 dogs and 2 outdoor cats. You will probably spend more time in Somerset but will be required to work between the two homes when required.
The ideal Couple will be flexible, hardworking, sensible and easy going. The Housekeeper will only be required to work approximately 20 hours a week. The Chauffeur/Handyman will be required to work 35-40 hours a week.
Duties will involve but not be limited to:
- Housekeeping – cleaning, laundry and ironing
- Light cooking – preparing lunches for the couple
- Pet care
- Running errands and shopping
- Driving every Monday to central London and back for appointments
- Vehicle maintenance (Automatic Range Rover)
- Handyman duties – basic repairs, painting, decorating etc
- Lawn mowing in the summer months
- House and pet sitting
Start: ASAP, but flexible for the right Couple
Accommodation:
- Somerset – a flat off site will be provided (a well behaved Dog will be considered)
- Devon – a 1 bedroom annexe onsite is provided (a well behaved Dog will be considered)
Salary: £57,000 - £63,000 GPA, depending on experience and flexibility
Working week: Monday to Friday
- Housekeeper – 20 hours a week (10am – 2pm). If more hours are required, they own the pub next door in Somerset where they could work as well
- Chauffeur/Handyman – 35-40 hours a week (probably 4 days a week)
Driving: Yes, essential both can drive. The Chauffeur must be confident driving in both London and the countryside.
