Live In Couple Job in Kent

A fantastic position to work for a lovely client of Greycoat’s who are looking for a new Couple (Housekeeper & Gardener) to join them as their Couple of over 25 years is retiring! The family reside in a 6-bedroom listed property on 9 acres. They have 3 grown up daughters who visit on occasion. Although this is the main residence, the principals also spend time at their other properties in London and the Caribbean.

The established garden compromises of lawns, formal garden, kitchen garden, greenhouse, swimming pool and tennis court. Outside contractors are enlisted for certain jobs.

The ideal couple will be hardworking, proactive, easy going and reliable. Someone with plant and flower knowledge is highly desirable

Main Duties

  • All housekeeping duties to include cleaning, laundry and ironing

  • General tidying

  • Polishing silver

  • Care of antiques and fine fabrics

  • Wardrobe management

  • Taking deliveries and running errands

  • Managing the property

  • Gardening duties to include informal and formal gardening

  • Swimming pool and tennis court maintenance

  • Greenhouse and kitchen garden maintenance

  • Use and maintenance of garden machinery

  • Household maintenance duties (basic DIY and minor repairs)

  • Security when the family are away 

Accommodation: 3-bedroom semi-detached cottage with a small private garden and driveway. The cottage next door is used by the principal as an office. Pets will be considered.

Working Week: Monday to Friday, 40 hours a week

Start date: October earliest

Driver: Essential one must drive

Salary: £60,000 - £70,000 GPA, depending on experience
