Live in Couple Job in Oxfordshire 

A great opportunity for a Couple to live and work in a stunning area of Oxfordshire and look after a family's weekend residence. 

The property is an 8 bedroom Georgian Manor house which is the clients family home where they visit at weekends and holidays, they have 3 grown up children who also come and go. The family do like to entertain so the house can be very busy at times, however, there is a lot of downtime when the family are in London. 

This role is suited for an experienced Couple who are self-starters and can manage their own time, you should take pride in looking after a home to a high standard and ensure the house is ready for the family and guests.  

As a Housekeeper you will be looking after fine art and antiques and ensure the house is kept immaculate. The Gardens, which are on 6 acres, are also very important to the family and require the Couple to have some knowledge of gardening as well as be passionate and take pride in maintaining the gardens.

A full-time Handyman (Monday to Friday) and a Part Time Formal Gardener, are also employed.  

The estate comprises a number of buildings including squash court and plant room.

The gardens include 3 Lawns, a paddock (including a chicken coop), 3 forecourts, Herbaceous borders, swimming pool, vegetable garden, greenhouse, sunken garden, tennis court.

Main Duties for the Couple: 

  • Cleaning/Washing and Ironing 
  • Organising and doing deep cleans and wardrobe management
  • Simple family cooking when the family are in residence 
  • Food preparation when the family are entertaining
  • Shopping for the household
  • Gardening to include maintaining the above
  • Swimming Pool and Tennis Court maintenance
  • Manage any contractors
  • Security of the estate 
  • Driving duties and vehicle maintenance
  • Care of the chickens (feeding etc)
  • Occasional care of the dog when required (the family have a puppy)

The family are looking for a Couple who have a proven record of longevity within a private household, ideally in a weekend or part-time residence. You should be good communicators, loyal and discreet.

Security is paramount and you will be expected to be on site at the property when the family are not in residence

Accommodation:  Separate 3-bedroom cottage is provided. Pets will be considered

Start: ASAP

Working week: 5 days per week, working Thursday to Mondays, with Tuesday & Wednesdays off.

Drivers: Ideally Both to drive

Salary: £70,000 - £75,000 gross per annum, negotiable depending on experience,
