Live in Couple Job in Oxfordshire
A client from Greycoat Lumleys is looking for a Domestic Couple to be based at their beautiful estate in Oxfordshire. They have 4 children between the ages of 14-5 years old, 3 Dogs and a Cat. The main property consists of 10 bedrooms.
You will be working in a large team comprising 3 Housekeepers, 2 Nannies, Chef and a team of Gardeners.
Butler/Houseman/Driver Duties:
Driving duties within the UK
Car maintenance, organising the car washing, services
Assisting when the family are entertaining
Butler duties
Serving drinks
Setting up for all meals
Tidying up at the end of the day from meals
Dog care
Housekeeper/Hostess duties:
Oversee and assist with daily housekeeping of house and the pavilions and spa
Laundry for the children’s clothes and school clothes
Setting up for all meals
Tidying up at the end of the day from meals
Turn down service in bedroom for principals and guests
Advanced planning on table setup
Creating an ongoing inventory of all crockery, cutlery and glassware in each dining location
Managing the bar and cellar and ensuring that when we entertain, the wines and bar drinks are well presented - this would include maintaining an ongoing wine and alcohol inventory
General upkeep of household belongings such as silver, candles, photo frames, crockery, glassware
Occasional mothers help if required (e.g. baby sitting or attending a friends birthday party with one of the children)
Travel, Days and hours
When in residence a 6 day week is required working up to 10-11 hours. Some days will be less and if entertaining it may occasionally be more. When not in residence and once holidays and days in lieu have been taken, a 5 day week is required.
Travel to Zermatt, Switzerland is required. This is generally at New Year, through February and March.
General requirements for the Couple
Valid driving licenses for both roles.
Excellent references and demonstrated longevity in previous yacht or land-based positions.
Ability to work in a discreet, professional, and relaxed manner.
Flexibility to fit seamlessly into the household dynamic.
Flexibility to work pragmatically with the principals to ensure that their needs and those of the family are reasonably prioritised whilst in residence.
Holidays should be coordinated where possible, allowing for the couple to be away during periods, like Easter and August, when the principals are away.

Package
• Salary: a starting salary of £80,000 gross per annum
• Working car provided for all daily employment use, including school runs and provisioning.
• Comfortable and conveniently located (but separate to the principal’s home) two-bedroom, two-bathroom cottage with all utility bills paid (heating oil, electricity, water, sewage and council tax).
• 25 days of annual leave per year.
• Working schedule: 6 days a week when in residence, 5 days a week when not. The family are abroad for approximately 3-4 months a year.
