Live in Couple Job in Hertfordshire
Live in Couple required for a lovely returning client of Greycoats. The family consists of 3 adults. Completing the family are 3 large dogs and 3 small ponies.
The family require a flexible couple who are happy to take on the roles of Housekeeper & Handyman/Gardener.
The housekeeping side of the couple must be confident and competent as you will be looking after a 5 bedroom/bathroom house. You will be looking after all the cleaning, laundry and ironing.
As a gardener you will work alongside a part-time gardener who has been with the family for 25 years, you will assist him with garden maintenance duties, ideally have used a chainsaw before, the garden is approx 2.5 acres.
The clients also have other properties which have tenants living in them close, you will be required to liaise with the tenants regarding any work required at the property and fix any maintenance issues.
You should be a competent handyman and fix problems in the main house and outside, ideally, the family have a large indoor swimming pool contractors do maintain this however you would need to keep the areas clean and check the pool.
If a contractor is required to come out you will be required to call a company and handle the situation if the family are away.
This is a role suitable for a Couple that love the rural life and are happy to be flexible and look after animals at a weekends, when the family are away. Love of animals is essential and you must be happy around large dogs and horses.
Duties will include but not limited to:
- Hands on cleaning, laundry and ironing
- Ideally both candidates to be confident drivers
- General household maintenance
- General maintenance gardening (a Gardener once a week is employed)
- Feeding and looking after the dogs
- Looking after the Ponies (a Groom is employed every morning)
- General running of errands
- Pet sitting when the family are away
Accommodation: 1 bedroom self-contained flat, all utilities paid except landline – No Pets
Start date: ASAP
Days: Monday - Friday. When the clients are away, you will be required to work weekends to care for the animals
Hours: 8.30am-5.30pm
Drivers: Ideally both to drive but not essential
Salary: £60,000 - £65,000 GPA, depending on experience
