Live in Estate Manager or Property Manager Job in Devon
This is a fantastic opportunity to work for a wonderful large estate in this beautiful part of the country. The ideal candidate will be down to earth, personable, highly professional and a forward thinking individual. They will really want to understand the family’s values, vision and needs to be able to effectively run both their own home and the whole estate. They will play a key role in being the main point of contact for the principals and all their stakeholders.
The operational aspect of this position requires the Estate Manager and/or Property Manager to be able to multitask, be reactive and proactive and can implement systems to allow for the seamless running of the estate and the main residence. Leading by example and having a team player mindset is what is needed in this role. There are several people working for this estate who will be reporting to this individual.
This role would really suit someone who is also very eco-conscious and who has a more mindful approach on consumption. This mindset will translate into actions and decisions made for the family and how the estate is also managed and run on a day to day basis.
Some of the duties are:
A point of contact for the family and everyone in the estate
Liaising with the interior staff with any household matters such as expenditures
Liaising and overseeing exterior staff
Liaising with key contractors/stakeholders
A hands on approach, where they are happy to roll up their sleeves when required to carry out the small to the large requests
Ability to project manage
A strong understanding of how a family home and an estate is run
Implementing better systems where needed, both within the residence and the estate
Managing budgets for the estate
Ensuring all machinery are in place and in good order
Security conscious – aware of who and when contractors are due to be on the premises
Excellent time management
Excellent communication skills – diplomatic and discreet

Accommodation: 5 bedroom farm house – partner and children and pets welcome
Working week: Monday to Friday, 40/45 hour week with some flexibility
