Live-in Housekeeper Cook Job, Wiltshire
We have a fantastic position working for a single principal and his dogs at his beautiful 2,000-acre estate in Wiltshire. This is a weekend residence, and the client resides in London during the week. The main property has 7 bedrooms. The client has 3 grown-up children who will visit on occasion. Also employed are two daily cleaners, a gardener, estate manager and other general estate staff.
They are looking for an experienced Housekeeper Cook who is discreet, organised, professional, a good communicator and is a team player. You must be happy to work over the weekends, although some weekends you will only be required for a few hours a day to keep things ticking over.
Duties to include:
Housekeeping
Laundry and ironing
Preparing simple meals for the principal when he is in residence (Fridays to Mondays)
Preparing meals for when the principal has guests at the weekends
Shopping and running errands
Front of house duties (greeting guests, serving drinks etc)
Some driving duties & running errands
Preparing the house
Maintaining and managing the wine cellar
Laying fires, dressing the home
Occasional help in the garden if the person is green-fingered
Occasional Dog care, shared with the Estate manager
Occasional House sitting, shared with the Estate manager
Start date: As soon as the right person is found
Working week: 5 days a week to include weekends. Tuesdays & Wednesdays off. When the principal is away, you can take weekends off.
Working hours: 40 – 45 hours per week
Accommodation: A 3-bedroom detached cottage, a short walk from the main house. partners will be considered and a pet also
Salary £45,000 - £50,000 Negotiable, depending on experience.
