Live-in Housekeeper / Cook – Andover
A valued client of Greycoat Lumleys, based in Andover, is seeking an experienced, proactive, and highly organised live-in housekeeper/cook for their beautiful five-bedroom family home. This is a long-term role suited to a switched-on individual who takes pride in maintaining a high standard within a private household.
The successful candidate will be responsible for the smooth day-to-day running of the home from a housekeeping and culinary perspective. While you will be working alongside an estate manager and a gardener, you will be the sole housekeeper and must be confident managing your duties independently.
Key Responsibilities:

Providing hands-on, high-standard housekeeping throughout the property

Ensuring the home is kept consistently clean, tidy, and well-presented

Managing all laundry duties, including washing, ironing, and wardrobe care (excellent ironing skills are essential)

Preparing daily meals for the household, with the ability to cater for occasional small dinner parties, mainly at weekends

Planning menus and organising grocery shopping, placing orders, and managing deliveries

Maintaining household supplies and liaising with other staff as required

Driving for household-related duties when needed
Candidate Requirements:

Proven experience working within private households

Extremely high attention to detail and a strong work ethic

Well-organised, efficient, and able to use initiative

Confident cook with experience preparing fresh, home-style meals

A driver is essential

Excellent, checkable references
Accommodation:
Bedroom and Bathroom in the main house until June when there will be a separate self-contained accommodation (house) provided on the estate. All bills are covered.
Salary: £40,000 per annum
Hours: 40 per week, Monday to Friday with occasional weekends
