Live In or Live Out Housekeeper/ Nanny Job - 4 days a week

Live-in or Live-out Housekeeper/Nanny Job – Maidenhead

This is a wonderful opportunity to work for a warm and welcoming family based in Maidenhead. The family live in a six-bedroom house with an annex (three bedrooms currently in use) and are looking for a reliable, experienced, and child-friendly Housekeeper/Nanny to join their household.

The family have one young daughter who attends nursery two days a week and are expecting a new baby in the coming months. They also have a friendly working cocker spaniel, so you must be comfortable around dogs. No cooking is required for this role.

The four-day week will include one full day of housekeeping, two days of nursery pick-ups followed by sole care of the eldest child until the family returns home, and one full day of sole nanny care. When the second child arrives, there will be greater flexibility in childcare responsibilities, as a primary caregiver will be present in the home more frequently.

The position would suit someone who takes pride in their work, is highly organised, and enjoys maintaining a family home to a high standard. You should also be a confident driver, as you will occasionally need to drive the child to and from nursery.

  • Daily housekeeping duties, including cleaning, dusting, vacuuming, mopping, and general tidying
  • Changing bed linen and maintaining bedrooms and bathrooms to a high standard
  • Laundry and ironing
  • Managing household organisation and ensuring the home is always neat and welcoming
  • Occasional childcare support, including nursery drop-offs/pick-ups and driving with the baby as required
  • Light pet care, including feeding and short walks for the family’s cocker spaniel
  • Liaising with the family to ensure the smooth running of the household

Candidate Requirements

  • Previous experience in a private household as a Housekeeper or Housekeeper/Nanny
  • Confident driver with a full UK driving licence (car provided for work use)
  • Comfortable caring for babies and young children
  • Trustworthy, proactive, and able to work independently
  • Child-friendly and dog-friendly
  • Eligible to work in the UK
  • Excellent references
