Live-out Housekeeper, Nassau County, New York, Immediate start available for the right candidate

New York-based employer is seeking a dedicated, self-motivated and reliable individual for a housekeeping position. The ideal candidate should have over five years of experience working with an UHNW family. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that the family's Manhattan apartment is maintained to the highest standards. The person should be a team player, able to work independently and possess excellent organizational skills. Attention to detail, prioritization, time management skills, honesty and flexibility are vital qualities. The role available is hourly; the candidate should be willing to work long hours, including weekends and some holidays. The housekeeper will also work closely with the Executive Housekeeper, Leadership Team, and Principals.
The key responsibilities include:
daily cleaning,
dusting,
mopping,
polishing, and washing.
The person will also need to do laundry, iron clothes, and send out dry cleaning. Some light cooking and serving will be required, as will running errands, receiving packages and maintaining a delivery log. The housekeeper will also need to assist with flower arrangements, answer the house phone, greet family and guests upon arrival, and perform other duties as required.
Successful candidates will need to have at least five years of experience working as a housekeeper for a high-profile employer, always striving for excellent and 5-star service. Good verbal and written communication skills are essential - the person should be familiar with cleaning products and their applications. Excellent knowledge of caring for fine garments, handwashing, ironing, stain removal and steam-pressing, as well as organizational skills for closets, cabinets, and other storage spaces, are also required. The person should be able to prepare simple meals and able to drive.
Personal characteristics include being hardworking, ambitious, and having a hands-on, roll-up-your-sleeves approach. The person should have a meticulous attention to detail and be able to balance and accommodate shifting priorities in schedules, demands, and requirements. Being trustworthy and discrete, specifically regarding confidential business and family information, is also important. Additionally, the person should be a reliable team player with strong interpersonal skills, a positive attitude, and highly personable, diplomatic, respectful, cooperative, adaptable, and poised.
