Live-Out Housekeeper in Berkshire, near Hook
We are looking for an experienced Live-Out Housekeeper to join a friendly family in Hook, Berkshire. The ideal candidate should be highly organised, proactive, and passionate about maintaining a clean and comfortable 7-bedroom home while supporting the family's daily activities. This position requires someone who lives within a commutable distance and has reliable transport, along with the ability to work independently, demonstrating discretion and professionalism. Strong problem-solving skills and a positive, approachable attitude are also essential.
The family consists of two adults and three children, however, two children board full time.
Another key area of the role is providing lifts to a from the school and sports for the child not yet boarding, and also running some errands and doing basic administration for the family. A car is provided for work purposes.
Duties:
Perform routine cleaning tasks (dusting, vacuuming, mopping) and deep-cleaning (carpets, windows, appliances) on a schedule.
Organise and declutter common areas and belongings.
Maintain a tidy household and handle laundry (washing, ironing, organising).
Provide limited cooking if proficient.
Assist with administrative tasks, including parcel returns, picking up items, sewing, and clearing cupboards.
Drive the children for school and sports events, particularly the youngest child during term time.
Replenish household supplies and assist with grocery shopping and errands as needed.
To qualify for this position, candidates must be eligible to work in the UK. A valid driver’s license is highly desirable due to the location of the job. Additionally, applicants should reside within a reasonable commuting distance from the property. Candidates must also be willing to obtain a DBS check upon receiving an offer for the role.

Hours and Days:
School Term Time: 30 hours a week (Mon to Thursday) 7am to 12pm, then 4pm to 7/8pm depending on the day.
School Holiday Time: 35 hours a week during holidays (Mon to Thursday, 10am to 6/7pm), with the possibility of staying later 1-2 nights a week if needed. The family also use this time to go away.
Start: September or earlier if possible
Salary: £35,000 to £40,000 GPA
