Live-out Housekeeper Job in Chelsea, South West London
A new client of Greycoat Lumleys is seeking an experienced Housekeeper to join their household on a permanent basis. This formal family home spans three floors and includes an annexe with 2.5 bedrooms, in addition to the one-bedroom main house occupied by a couple. They currently employ a House Manager who has been with them for many years, and are now looking to replace their retiring Housekeeper. They also employ an additional Housekeeper who works on Mondays to polish brass, silver, and wood. The couple have three other employees working from home. They travel for approximately three months per year and will expect the Housekeeper to take care of the home during their absence, including deep cleaning and general upkeep.
They do not have pets; however, guests may visit with pets, so being animal-friendly is essential.
Duties to include:
• Maintaining a clean and organised home
• Laundry
• Ironing
• Basic food preparation – occasional breakfast such as eggs/porridge
• Other ad hoc duties as required
The ideal candidate for this role will be able to keep the home tidy and well organised, have excellent attention to detail, and possess strong cleaning, hoovering, and ironing skills. Good communication skills and previous experience in a similar role are desirable.

Hours: Monday to Friday, 7.30 am – 3.30 pm
Salary: £43,000+ gross per annum –> depending on experience
