Live-Out Housekeeper Job, Knightsbridge / St John’s Wood
We are looking for a highly capable and trustworthy Housekeeper to support a family based in Knightsbridge, who will be relocating to St John’s Wood approximately 6 months from now. The household consists of a couple with three children aged 13–17. This is a hands-on role requiring a proactive candidate who is confident managing daily household duties while maintaining a professional, family-focused approach.
The ideal individual will take pride in maintaining a well-organised, immaculate home and must be willing to assist with a combination of traditional housekeeping, laundry and wardrobe management, household administration, and general family support.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain the household to a high standard, including daily cleaning, laundry, ironing, wardrobe management, and general tidying
- Manage household stock levels, shopping lists, and oversee basic replenishment of supplies
- Run general household errands and liaise with contractors and suppliers
- Handle petty cash confidently with accurate record-keeping
- Support household administration tasks, including placing orders, arranging returns, and troubleshooting minor maintenance issues
- Assist with packing and unpacking for family travel
- Ensure the home runs smoothly, anticipating needs and identifying tasks before being asked
The Ideal Candidate:
- Calm, unflappable, and highly organised
- Reliable and discreet, able to always demonstrate good judgment and professionalism
- Energetic, hands-on, and capable of working independently without supervision
- Confident communicator and team player with a proactive, “muck-in” attitude
Start Date: ASAP (flexible for the right candidate)
Working Days: 5 days per week
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00 am – 5:00 pm
Salary: Up to £50,000 per annum
