Live-out Housekeeper Job in Holland Park, London
Greycoat Lumleys has an exciting opportunity for an experienced Housekeeper to efficiently manage a 5-bedroom family home in Holland Park, West London. The family has 2 young children, aged 3.5 and 6 years old, and employs a dedicated Nanny for childcare support. The Housekeeper will handle all housekeeping responsibilities and ensure the household runs smoothly. You will also need to help with the occasional babysitting. The ideal candidate for this role will be child-friendly, reliable, discreet, respectful, and initiative. Previous experience working in private households and checkable references are essential.
Duties to include:
- Tidying and cleaning bathrooms, bedrooms and living areas
- Keeping the fridge clean and discarding out-of-date items
- Cleaning the oven
- Polishing brass and silver, antiques and fine furniture
- Cleaning windows inside
- Collecting, washing, ironing and returning laundry to the appropriate place
- Hand washing delicate items
- Managing the wardrobe
- Arranging dry-cleaning
- Keeping patios, pathways and steps clean and tidy
- Watering household plants and flower arranging
- Handling petty cash and debit cards
- Dealing with tradesmen, suppliers and contractors
- Packing/unpacking
- Organising in cupboards, etc.
- If they are hosting, help arrange glasses, table settings, etc.
- Occasional babysitting
House: 5-bedroom house over 5 floors
Working Days: Tuesday – Saturday (would consider Monday to Friday for the right person)
Working Hours: 40 hours per week, 8 am to 4 pm / 9 am to 5 pm / 10 am to 6 pm
Salary: up to max. £45k gross per annum
