Live-Out Housekeeper / Mother’s Help – Horsham
A busy and welcoming family with three young children near Horsham is seeking a highly organised, proactive and experienced Housekeeper / Mother’s Help to join their household. This is a varied role that combines hands-on housekeeping with supportive childcare, helping ensure the home runs smoothly and that after-school routines are well managed.
Two children attend a busy Prep school and the youngest is in nursery most days. The ideal candidate will be flexible, calm under pressure, and confident juggling the needs of multiple children at different developmental stages, both in shared and sole-charge situations.
Key Responsibilities

Hands-on cleaning, tidying, and general household organisation

Laundry and ironing

Meal preparation and cooking for the family

Running errands as needed

Coordinating with tradespeople and contractors

Dog care

Childcare duties including school pick-ups, homework support, and bedtime routines

Occasional babysitting or additional hours (agreed in advance)

Optional travel with the family (not essential)
Requirements

Confident driver (car provided for work duties)

Enhanced DBS check

Excellent references from similar household roles

Strong organisational skills and a proactive, family-focused approach
Hours & Salary
Option 1 – 18 hours per week

Tuesdays: 9am–6pm

Thursdays: 9am–6pm

Salary: Up to £20,000 GPA, depending on experience
Option 2 – 27 hours per week

Same as above plus an additional agreed day

Salary: Up to £30,000 GPA, depending on experience
Occasional flexibility required.
