Live out Nanny, Chelsea, end of January start (slight flexibility)

A client of Greycoat Lumleys is looking for a Live out Nanny to help care for their two children, a little girl aged 1 year and her brother aged 2,5 years. Mum and Dad are often around, so the role will be a mixture of sole charge and shared care.

The family is warm, easy-going, musical, and creative. Their ideal Nanny will be active and energetic. The eldest boy is calm and loves to colour, but the youngest one very much enjoys climbing on everything! It is also important for the Nanny to be patient and loving, but also proactive and fun. Communication and organisation are very valued by the family, as well as the willingness to muck-in and stay on top of the usual children-caused chaos.

The family travels extensively, including last-minute trips, and owns a home in Europe. As such, the Nanny will be required to be highly flexible. A full-time salary is on offer, but some weeks will require more hours than others depending on the family’s schedule – usually between 40 and 50 hours per week.

An up to date first aid certificate and police check are essential for this position.

Duties:

  • Standard nursery duties
  • Supporting the children’s developmental milestones (such as potty training)
  • Researching and organising activities, both outside and within the home
  • Encouraging literacy and phonics
  • Educational support
  • Helping with preparing meals for the children
  • Keeping the children’s areas and belongings tidy
  • Travelling with the family, including last-minute trips

Salary: £50,000 to £55,000 GPA

Hours: 40h to 50h per week

Travel: extensive
Language: English essential (high standard of grammar required), Portuguese or Spanish bonus but not essential
