Live Out Part Time or Full Time Housekeeper Job

Live-out Housekeeper/Nanny Job – Maidenhead

This is a wonderful opportunity to work for a warm and welcoming family based in Maidenhead. The family live in a six-bedroom house with an annex (three bedrooms currently in use) and are looking for a reliable, experienced, and child-friendly Housekeeper/Nanny to join their household.

The family have one young daughter who attends nursery two days a week and are expecting a new baby in the coming months. They also have a friendly working cocker spaniel, so you must be comfortable around dogs. No cooking is required for this role.

The position would suit someone who takes pride in their work, is highly organised, and enjoys maintaining a family home to a high standard. You should also be confident driving, as you will occasionally need to drive the children once the baby arrives.

Responsibilities

  • Daily housekeeping duties, including cleaning, dusting, vacuuming, mopping, and general tidying

  • Changing bed linen and maintaining bedrooms and bathrooms to a high standard

  • Laundry and ironing

  • Managing household organisation and ensuring the home is always neat and welcoming

  • Occasional childcare support, including nursery drop-offs/pick-ups or driving with the baby as needed

  • Light pet care, including feeding and short walks for the family’s cocker spaniel

  • Liaising with the family to ensure smooth running of the household

Candidate Requirements

  • Previous experience in a private household as a housekeeper or housekeeper/nanny

  • Confident driver with a full UK driving licence (car can be provided for work use)

  • Comfortable with babies and young children

  • Trustworthy, proactive, and able to work independently

  • Child-friendly and dog-friendly

  • Eligible to work in the UK

  • Excellent references

Package

  • Start Date: December 2025 / January 2026 (flexible for the right candidate)

  • Employment Type: Self-employed (part-time) or PAYE (full-time)

  • Hours: Flexible depending on arrangement

  • Driving: Required

  • Salary: Up to £25 per hour, depending on experience
