Part Time Cook Job in Maidenhead, Buckinghamshire

A client from Greycoat Lumleys is looking for a part time weekend cook in their residence in Maidenhead. You will be required to work from 3 to 4 days per week from Thursdays to Mondays.

The client requires a cook for breakfast, Lunch and dinner. They like light healthy meals and to use as much produce from the gardens as possible, working closely with the Gardner to grow the produce required. When not in residents you will still be required to work making jams, chutneys and preserves. You will predominantly be looking after one client and do not have to cook for the other staff member but her older children will occasionally visit the residents.

This role will include catering for events, such as dinner parties or special occasions. Ensuring a sanitary environment and stock is fresh and fit for consumption. Ensuring stock levels of all food and drinks are kept at acceptable levels. Good communication skills, keeping track of kitchen supplies, Pet friendly and service skills would be advantageous.

The house is well maintained and has 5 bedrooms. There is a separate guest cottage. The position is supported by a full-time Butler / Housekeeper (to be recruited) and two cleaning staff. The garden and grounds around the house are maintained by a separate team.

Good communication and coordination with the household team in London is essential.

The house is used by the family for extended weekends and longer periods during the summer, Easter and Christmas. The position requires flexibility. No international travel required.

Salary - £40,000 - £45,000 Gross per annum

Minimum 5 years’ experience in a similar position.
