Private Chef – Full-Time Travelling Position
Overview
The full-time private chef is being sought for an international travelling role.
The chef will be responsible for delivering creative, high-quality, and health-conscious meals on a daily basis. Menus should reflect a restaurant-level standard while being tailored for a private home environment, with a strong emphasis on organic, seasonal, and high-quality ingredients.
The ideal candidate will demonstrate initiative, flexibility, and a proactive approach to supporting the smooth operation of the household. While the role is primarily culinary, a positive attitude and willingness to assist beyond core responsibilities when required are essential.
Discretion, professionalism, and respect for the family’s privacy and home are paramount at all times.
Schedule
- 5 days per week (ideally Sunday–Thursday)
- Flexible hours, aligned with meal preparation needs
- Responsible for preparing breakfast, lunch, dinner, snacks, and juices daily

Menu Planning & Provisioning
- Develop creative, varied, and nutritionally balanced menus on an ongoing basis
- Source and purchase high-quality, organic, and seasonal ingredients
- Maintain optimal stock levels of pantry items, snacks, and household kitchen supplies
- Research and build relationships with premium suppliers; negotiate best pricing where possible
- Manage kitchen inventory, equipment, and organisation
Meal Preparation & Service
- Prepare fresh, healthy meals to a consistently high standard
- Plate and present dishes to a restaurant-quality level
- Pre-prepare meals and snacks for later consumption, ensuring proper storage and clear instructions
- Adapt meals for convenience where necessary (e.g. on-the-go options)
Household Standards
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen and dining areas at all times
- Handle all kitchen equipment, furniture, and tableware with care and respect
- Ensure hygiene and food safety standards are consistently upheld
Travel Requirements
- Primary residence: Miami (5–6 months per year)
- Additional travel throughout the year to New York, Aspen, and London
- Flexibility to travel and work across multiple residences is essential
- Principals are open to assisting with American Visa applications for British nationals.

As this is a live-out position the Chef will be responsible for sourcing their own accommodation in the local area and the family office is happy to support them in a search for suitable local accommodation. During periods of travel away from the Miami area, accommodation is provided.
Applicants will ideally have worked in a Michelin-level kitchen for a number of years in a senior sous chef capacity or above and also have Private Household experience.
Applicants must have the right to work in the UK and would ideally be dual nationals, British/American.
