Personal Assistant to owner of a Historic Estate in North Yorkshire nr Selby - Our client is looking for a Personal Assistant to take on an exciting role in North Yorkshire.   Our client owns a large family home and estate in North Yorkshire and is looking for a PA to organize him and his ideas and to help him drive the vision that he has for the future of the estate. These include their established walled garden vineyard/winery, cookery school, potential glamping in the park, sustainable food production, farm shop and many other ideas for the future development of the estate.  This is not just a secretarial role but an opportunity for someone to work collaboratively with the owner and drive the estate business forward.

Currently the main business is weddings and corporate events, but the vision for the future is to focus on regenerative farming and food production, and become a centre of excellence in everything to do with food; in how they grow it, rear it and eat it.

This is a unique opportunity for a skilled and imaginative PA to work on a one-to-one basis, providing the client with a high level of both organisational and project led support, and working as part of a small team.  You will be involved with a wide range of creative projects relating to the development of rural enterprises, sustainable food and wine production and additional exciting enterprises.

  • Proactive, with strong ideas and keen to communicate their thoughts and embrace new projects with enthusiasm and openness

  • Experienced with social media to create blogs, podcasts etc.

  • But above all, a great sense of humour and a lover of food and wine

What will be involved:

  • PA elements – managing diaries, organising meetings, taking notes and reminding the principle of what was being talked about, booking appointments, associated travel, accommodation and all logistics, to ensure seamless timing

  • Team support – being a link between departments and ensuring everyone is working together

  • Secretarial – preparing reports, presentations and daily correspondence as required

  • Project support – researching and assessing the feasibility of creative new projects for the estate and working with the principle and the team to then successfully implement and project manage key business ventures

  • Communication – extensive communication both internally and externally, building relationships at every level

  • Administration – maintaining effective administration systems within the office including filing and database management
