Short Term Live out Housekeeper in London
A dynamic and friendly professional couple are seeking a proactive and highly experienced housekeeper to support the smooth running of their large modern, 3-bedroom apartment located on the South Bank. The residence is within walking distance of key transport links:
• 12 minutes from Blackfriars and Waterloo East
• 8 minutes from Southwark Station
The couple share their home with a small dog. While they split their time between London and other locations (often with their dog), this role will involve a mix of busier weeks and quieter periods, perfect for deep cleaning and detailed organisation.
Job Description
Housekeeping & Cleaning:
• Ensure the home is kept to an impeccable standard, including daily cleaning, tidying, and ongoing organisation.
• Laundry & Wardrobe Management: Handle laundry, ironing, and linen changes. Care for luxury clothing and delicate fabrics with precision and attention to detail.
Household Organisation:
• Manage deliveries
• Liaise with contractors and service providers including obtaining quotes
• Maintain household stock levels.
• Have a basic understanding of household technology
Grocery & Supplies: Oversee Ocado deliveries and keep the fridge and pantry well-stocked with essentials.
Simple Meal Preparation:
• Prepare light, healthy meals such as breakfast (e.g., eggs)
• Prepare simple dinners (e.g., salad, soup, or grilled fish).
Pet Care:
• Provide care for the family's small dog during working hours—feeding, walking, and occasional vet visits.
• General Assistance: Be on hand to ensure the household runs efficiently and smoothly in all respects.
Candidate Requirements
• Proven experience as a housekeeper or house manager in a similar private household setting.
• Able to work autonomously, using initiative and maintaining a high level of discretion.
• Have a basic understanding of technology ie online ordering and tech in the house
• Positive, proactive attitude with excellent time management skills.
• Confident managing luxury garments and wardrobe organisation.
• Pet-friendly and comfortable caring for a small dog.
• Excellent references are essential.
Must have an enhanced DBS
Working days & Hours: Mon to Fri 9am to 5.30pm
Salary: £18 - £20 gross per hour
Start: ASAP for one month ( position could go permanent for the right person)
