Short Term Live out Housekeeper /Cook job, Kensington
We have a wonderful position for a professional, organised and dedicated candidate to join a busy family of 4 within their beautiful home in Kensington. Semi Formal position (apron worn, interior shoes and demure appearance). This is the perfect opportunity for a candidate who appreciates a schedule and routine and who can support the family where needed, working closely with the parents. The two children (12 & 15) both attend full time school and have extra activities after school. They family employ a House-manager / Driver who can support with heavier duties within the home and complete errands.
Duties to be included but not limited to:
- Daily housekeeping to a high standard (4 bedrooms) according to a clear rota of duties
- Daily laundry and ironing high standard (Ironing includes bedsheets, shirts and uniforms etc.)
- Understanding of delicate garments is needed.
- Prepare the dry cleaning
- Greet the boy’s after-school and support them with uniform and preparing for the next day
- Ensure their shoes are polished and their sports and additional activity equipment is prepared.
- Break during the day
- Prepare an evening meal for the family, healthy and simple for 6.30pm/7pm
- After dinner clear up and prepare for the next day
This is family are looking for a patient, kind Housekeeper/Cook. They are looking for a flexible candidate who can adapt to the family when needed,
someone with a good stamina (stairs!), ready to get on and run the house and keep it to the highest standards (it’s a well-designed and decorated house). Someone calm, discreet and driven.
Nearest station: Notting hill gate
Property: 5 bedrooms townhouse over 5 storeys
Start date: As soon as possible until 18/12/2025
Working days: Monday – Friday (You are not required on a Friday Afternoon from midday) Some Saturday mornings (7.30am-9am) paid extra with notice if of interest.
Working hours: 8am – 6pm (with break during the day)
Salary: £19 - £20 gross per hour depending on experience
