Overview The Property / House Manager Couple will be jointly responsible for the day-to-day management of two villas on the estate, ensuring that the family and guests’ needs are met at all times while maintaining very high standards. The couple will have an overall coordinating role within the villas, taking the lead on all matters and, once family or guests arrive, holding primary responsibility for the success of their stay. They will supervise the work of support staff and coordinate and support the work of the Chef. The role requires some cooking skills to prepare breakfast and light lunches on request. Bar skills are essential for entertaining. Previous Experience Prior hands-on experience in private villas is essential. Ideally experience within the yacht industry or hotel industry in waiting/stewarding roles. Housekeeping experience is essential. Experience in high-level establishments such as super-yachts, 5* hotels, or 2 AA rosette restaurants. Must work well as a couple team, both in leadership and supporting roles. Extremely high work standards, self-motivated, proud of your work, conscientious, and highly organised. Previous supervisory experience is highly desirable Main Duties Service: General Creates a warm, friendly, and welcoming atmosphere. Available to answer questions and resolve problems, always aiming to ensure the best possible holiday experience. Knowledgeable about the local area, facilities, and attractions. Assists with arranging leisure activities, restaurant bookings, and day trips when requested. Leads the coordination and resolution of all matters relating to the day-to-day running of the villa. Assigns work within the villa team and ensures staff well-being. Acts as the main point of contact for guests. Oversees and manages household staff. Liaises with the family and guests prior to and during their stay. Provides airport transfers and local transportation as required (multiple cars available). Tech-savvy. Prior experience working with UHNW individuals required. Service: Housekeeping Ensures excellent standards of hygiene and cleanliness are maintained in and around the villa at all times. Vacuums and/or mops floors and carpets in all rooms and corridors. Refreshes sofa and other cushions. Makes beds and tidies guest bedrooms. Cleans bathroom sanitary ware and surfaces. Cleans interior and exterior windows as required. Carries out evening turndown service during dinner service. Works closely with the team to ensure all rooms are kept clean and presentable throughout the villas. Changes bath and hand towels. Washes and irons small linen items such as napkins, tablecloths, chef’s whites, and tea towels. Washes and polishes all glassware, crockery, cutlery, and pans. Assists with set-up for parties and large dinners in conjunction with the Chef and team. Ensures all household equipment is maintained in excellent condition and arranges repairs or replacements promptly. Service: Meals / Drinks / Other Assists the Chef with meal preparation as required. Serves, clears, and washes up after meals. Prepares breakfast hampers and light lunches and dinners as required. Lays tables, serves, and clears for lunch and dinner, including canapés when required. The family who are originally British and have British values but are down to earth and not overly formal, are seeking 5 days per week cover, cooking, service and housekeeping. There will be a requirement for flexibility to changing demands of the family and candidates should not be clock watchers or overly stuck in routine, but be malleable and flexible enough to adapt to changing family circumstances and requirements. The family consists of six adults over two generations & two children (10 & 14). The family currently has local staff as well as a management couple in place who were recruited by Greycoat Lumleys. The successful Couple applicants should be able to cover all of the following skills and experience. Cooking to a good household standard, but not expecting Michelin level. The ability to step up to a good dinner party standard and provide canapé service for events is crucial.
