Exceptional Couple Role on the French Riviera A client of ours with a truly incredible modern property in Saint Jean Cap Ferrat on the French Riviera has enlisted us to seek an exceptional Couple for its daily management and operations. The property which took over ten years to complete has exceptional views towards Antibes and the Mediterranean, is built to a Modern standard and has many facilities including a large garage, wine cellar, swimming pool and an incredible 2-acre garden with a nature trail leading down to the waters edge. The clients are seeking a couple who may already have a knowledge of the South of France but candidates with a background in the Ski industry would also be advantageous. Some Buzzwords that the client has mentioned are as follows: Perfectionist Detail focused Energetic Hardworking  Sociable  Upbeat personalities  Take pride in their work  Eager to please  The position is a live out role with local accommodation being built into the package. The client is happy for candidates to seek accommodation in the local area (budget to be discussed) and then to rent this on their behalf. The clients visualize being at the property between May and October but only periodically as they will also spend time in the UK during this time. In the winter and Spring months the property will not be visited by the family but needs maintenance and cleaning regularly to always keep it in an absolute guest ready state. The Principal who is approachable and open expects to use the property for 2/14 weeks of each year. The client is not seeking a formal couple but is approachable and amiable in their approach. They are seeking a couple who would be happy to commit the next 10 years of their working careers. Duties of the role will include the following: Professional and experienced with garden maintenance who would be excited to mature the garden and be proud of making it beautiful Clean windows, pool maintenance, and the general upkeep and servicing needs of the Villa.  Chauffer.  when in residence the family goes out for dinner or lunch most days of the week, for that reason the gentleman should be prepared to drive a Mercedes Viano. Stage setting:  when we are in residence to have the towels and cushions on all external areas, and put away furniture / cover in rain or remove etc  Serve drinks and waiter as required when guests are in residence Internal cleaning External terrace areas Laundry Washing/ironing  Preparation of simple meals (breakfast, lunches and simple dinner options). During 7 months of the year there will not be a lot to do and the role become one of property maintenance and ensuring that necessary reporting is undertaken and that the garden is flourishing. In this period the successful couple will have their holidays and the days won’t need to be too full on because the clients  want to be very fair knowing that those periods when they are in residence could be very long days and cover weekends and they don’t go on holiday when we are in residence.  The clients have an exciting converge agency who takes care of all their needs and their would be a transition period over the first 12 months when the services of this agency could be used. The client is not in a rush to find a suitable couple for this post however they do really hope to find the “perfect” fit and are happy to be flexible in regards salary. Live-out part-time Private Cook Job in Sloane Square, South West London We are looking for a talented and enthusiastic cook/chef for an informal private household in Sloane Square to cater to the principal, his son, and occasionally other family members which could include his parents and the Nanny. The Chef must be able to work around the strict dietary requirements of the celiac principal and create and craft family-style recipes, as well as fridge filling using the best seasonal, organic produce. The Principal tends to eat dinner around 7 pm. Ideally the working hours would be Tuesdays and Fridays from 3 pm to 8 pm however the is flexibility for the right candidate. The family enjoys a variety of cuisines, with a focus on healthy, simple, well-executed dishes. Menus must be presented weekly. Presentation is expected to be creative and appealing without being overly fussy. Being able to follow recipes and directions is essential for this role. The cook will be also responsible for the daily administration of the kitchen, including health & safety, hygiene regulation, food stock management, provisioning, and maintaining the highest level of cleanliness and hygiene. New Couple Job – Lake Como – Italy A wonderful returning client of Greycoat Lumleys is seeking a professional Domestic couple for their property on Lake Como. The property is located in the beautifully picturesque village of Fiumelatte and is historic in nature. The main family property has 6 bedrooms with a secondary property with 4 bedrooms owned by the same family being located close by but very rarely used.   The family are seeking a “typical” domestic couple and for the gentleman to be a capable handyman Gardner, driver and errand runner, the lady should have strong household cooking skills, and be experienced with all washing ironing and all cleaning responsibilities. Both candidates should have a history of working in private service and contactable recent work references. Duties required: Cooking – Good household cooking standards Cleaning and Housekeeping of an old historic property Washing and Ironing Gardening of a small formal garden Daily maintenance tasks as required (cleaning exterior of the property, windows patios etc ) Errand running and shopping of supplies Candidates Requirements:  EU passport or Italian work permits  Italian language skills Experience in Domestic work for private individuals (preferably as a couple)  The client is open to all applicants provided that they have experience working as a Domestic couple previously, can provide suitable references, speak Italian and have the right to work in Italy. The family enjoys a variety of international cuisines, ranging from Japanese to Mexican, Middle Eastern, Thai, and contemporary European, all at a Michelin star level. Menus must be exciting and varied in style, innovation and creativity. A special focus on light, fresh & clean flavours is paramount. Presentation is expected to be creative and appealing without being overly fussy. The property is extensive and set in large grounds, there are 30 bedrooms and several other houses within the 47 acres. The property makes its own Olive oil and has cultured a fermentation process onsite. The ideal candidate will be well versed in all dietary restrictions and be able to cater to Vegetarian, plant based and vegan diets especially. They should also be at least confident Spanish speakers, be incredibly kind, calm and proficient in team leadership. The ideal cnadiate will already be on the island and have a good understanding of its culture and pace of life. You will be required to work from 3 to 4 days per week from Thursdays to Mondays. The client requires a cook for breakfast, Lunch and dinner. They like light healthy meals and to use as much produce from the gardens as possible, working closely with the Gardner to grow the produce required. When not in residents you will still be required to work making jams, chutneys and preserves. You will predominantly be looking after one client and do not have to cook for the other staff member but her older children will occasionally visit the residents. This role will include catering for events, such as dinner parties or special occasions. Ensuring a sanitary environment and stock is fresh and fit for consumption. Ensuring stock levels of all food and drinks are kept at acceptable levels. Good communication skills, keeping track of kitchen supplies, Pet friendly and service skills would be advantageous. The house is well maintained and has 5 bedrooms. There is a separate guest cottage. The position is supported by a full-time Butler / Housekeeper (to be recruited) and two cleaning staff. The property is set aside from the main hustle and bustle of the island and is occasionally used for rentals, 4/5 each summer season. The clients seek an astute couple who like them are seeking a long term employment relationship and who will make this job their own, take ownership and initiative to run the property seamlessly all year round and provide exceptional service to the family when they are in residence. The Job Role – Live In Housekeeping Couple – Ibiza The role will include hands on property management and management of the vehicles. The responsibilities are full time but will vary significantly between the periods when the property is in use (helping cook, clean, drive et)c and periods when it is empty and responsibilities focus on oversight and light maintenance. Key features of this job are as follow When the family is not present Ensuring that the property is kept clean, secure and well maintained Daily property clean and freshen to ensure no damp, water is run, no breakages   Preparing the property before any arrival and closing it up when we leave including setting out/in our outdoor furniture& cushions and also moving the kit in and out of the boathouse. Ensuring that the house is stocked in advance of any arrival with food and drink in both indoor and outdoor kitchens Building relationships with key providers so you know who to contact for any issues and to ensure any contracts for garden etc are done properly Managing the maintenance, doing basic DIY and decoration but for larger projects in co-ordination with contractors as required as well as directly managing the pool and cleaning machines Ensuring that the cars are well maintained, serviced (including MOT) and fuelled & cleaned regularly Co-ordinating with the gardener the planting & maintenance of the garden as well as helping him out as appropriate Managing water supplies into the house from the water truck to ensure sufficient supply at all times Overseeing electricity consumption via solar and generator to optimise solar use Managing fuel for generator as needed & liaising with the provider Ensuring AV and IT is working and getting specialists in as needed, especially ahead of family (or rental guests) arriving Checking all hot water & air conditioning is working in every room before arrival Providing receipts and invoices for expenses to the accountants In addition to the above & when the family is present Continuing to ensure that the property is kept tidy (for example tidying up towels) and doing family laundry, changing bedlinen and washing towels Keeping outdoor kitchen & furniture clean and protected if it rains & covering overnight. When the family are in residence the successful applicants will have 1 day off per week, but it is at the discretion of the owners when this is taken.    Typical days the family would have breakfast at 08:00 or later, and dinner will be 20:30 with breaks being taken during the day so the total hours per day would typically be 10. When the family is not present the workload is very much reduced & annual leave can be taken to during these periods. The family are typically there 6-8 weeks per year (1 week in May, 1 week in October, 4-6 weeks July / August) and there are approx. 4 weeks of rental guests.
