Live In Senior Gardener Job in Suffolk
A client of Greycoat Lumleys is seeking a highly motivated Assistant Gardener to join their team. The estate has 3-4 acres of woodlands, terraces and mature hedges. They also have 3-4 acres of walled garden, as well as a vegetable garden, lavender beds and herbaceous borders.
The ideal candidate for this role will have a strong work ethic, be organised and is happy to be hands on and will muck in to get the work done. They will also be a good team player, be able to show initiative and have be willing to learn and grow.
Duties include but not limited to:
Develop and implement the garden, including the vegetable garden, hedges, lavender beds, perennial flowers, orchards, herbaceous borders, and rose bushes
Care for and maintain the 3-4 acre woodlands, terraces, and mature hedges
Maintain the garden's aesthetic appeal and ensure it is in pristine condition at all times
Work independently and as part of a team to complete gardening tasks
Communicate regularly with the Senior gardener to discuss gardening needs and progress
Accommodation: 1 or 2 bedroom house or flat on the Estate.
Days and Hours: Monday to Thursday 7.30am – 4.15pm and Friday: 7.30am – 3.15pm
Start date: ASAP, however, will wait for right candidate.
Salary: £24k GPA
