We’re seeking a dedicated and passionate Breakfast Chef to join a high-performing kitchen team within a premium countryside hospitality destination. This is an excellent opportunity for a chef who values seasonality, sustainability, and produce-led cooking to help deliver exceptional breakfast experiences while supporting morning kitchen operations.

Key Responsibilities

Breakfast Service & Kitchen Operations

• Prepare and cook breakfast dishes to consistently high standards
• Work closely with senior chefs to deliver a smooth, efficient morning service
• Maintain strong communication during daily kitchen briefings
• Uphold a positive, collaborative, and quality-driven kitchen culture

Seasonal & Produce-Led Cooking

• Champion the use of seasonal, local, and home-grown produce from gardens, orchards, and on-site livestock
• Adapt menus daily based on what the land provides
• Contribute to dishes that reflect the venue’s modern countryside food ethos
• Maintain knowledge of ingredients grown and produced on-site

Operational Standards

• Ensure timely preparation and delivery of all breakfast dishes
• Maintain cleanliness, organization, and workstation readiness
• Follow established SOPs to support consistency and efficiency
• Work effectively under time-sensitive morning service conditions

Health, Safety & Hygiene

• Adhere to all food safety regulations and hygiene standards
• Support daily and weekly cleaning routines
• Maintain practices aligned with regulatory hygiene guidelines

Team Support & Development

• Collaborate closely with the wider brigade, sharing knowledge and maintaining morale
• Demonstrate excellent teamwork and communication skills
• Contribute to a culture focused on learning, professionalism, and continuous improvement

Performance Indicators

• Quality and consistency of breakfast dishes
• Smooth, timely morning service
• Effective use of seasonal and home-grown produce
• Adherence to hygiene and safety procedures
• Positive contribution to kitchen teamwork and culture

What We're Looking For

• Previous experience in a professional kitchen, ideally within breakfast or high-end dining
• Strong understanding of seasonal and produce-led cooking
• Ability to work efficiently in early-morning service
• Excellent communication, organization, and teamwork skills
• A passion for high-quality, honest food
• Personal transport (rural location)
