Couple Job - Gardener/Housekeeper
Greycoat Lumley’s client has a wonderful position for a Sole Gardener and Housekeeper has become available to assist with the management of a beautiful 4-acre garden and family home on a private estate. The property is their main residence but they do travel with business too. The Principals have had couples who have worked for them for a number of years and have enjoyed working for them, they insist on confidentiality and discretion but are very welcoming.
The garden has varying features which include lawns, herbaceous and rose beds and clipped yew, buxus, laurel and beech hedges.
Gardener Skill Set:
The role would suit someone who is who is able to work alone and have the experience to maintain the garden to a very high standard alongside excellent plant knowledge.
Ideally candidates will have RHS qualifications or equivalent and proven practical experience managing the routine maintenance and development of a garden.
The ability to operate and maintain mowers and a strimmer, leaf blower, hedge cutters, log splitter and chainsaw.
They have installed grass cutting robots which have been a huge success. The candidate would require experience looking after them in their absence or willing to learn.
Housekeeping:
An extremely well organised & run 8 bedroom family home - informal but with very high standards.
The role to include deep cleaning, cleaning inside windows, making beds and changing bedlinen, ironing, taking care of silver and furniture polishing.
A good all-rounder who takes pride in their work.
No cooking/catering required - all done by the Principal and outside help brought in when required.
Car owner and full driving licence required.
Willing to help when entertaining and to be flexible.
Look after the property and their small dog when the owners are away.
Accommodation: Lovely 2 bedroom fully furnished cottage available with a wood fire; includes Council Tax and Utility Bills

Salary: £60,000 GPA
