Live-in Couple Job in Maidenhead
This unique opportunity is ideally suited to a professional couple seeking long-term stability in a beautiful rural setting. As a young American and Swiss couple move into their new property, they are looking for a cheerful, trustworthy, and proactive team to help them establish a warm, well-run, and settled household from the outset. As there are no children, there are no childcare or nanny duties required. They do however, have a cocker spaniel and cat.
The successful candidates will possess proven experience within a professional yet welcoming environment. They must have a genuine love for animals and a desire for a long-term commitment, supported by a "can-do" attitude and meticulous attention to detail.
The Roles
Role One: Housekeeping, Laundry, and Cooking
Housekeeping: All aspects of hands-on cleaning to a high standard, including the expert care of fine finishes such as marble and hardwood flooring across the four-bedroom main house and a two-bedroom guest cottage.
Laundry: Expert care of clothing and linens, including washing, high-quality ironing, and the delicate handling of luxury fabrics such as silk and cashmere.
Cooking and Provisioning: Full responsibility for grocery shopping, stock management, and the preparation of fresh meals for the principals.
Pet Care: Providing full-time care, feeding, and affection for the household cat and Cocker Spaniel.
Role Two: Gardening, Security, and Driving
Gardening: Comprehensive maintenance of the estate grounds, including lawn care, flower beds, and seasonal planting to ensure the exterior reflects the high standards of the interior.
Security: Acting as the primary point of contact for the property, monitoring security systems, and overseeing the safety of the estate, particularly when the principals are travelling.
Driving: Providing chauffeuring duties for the principals as required, alongside managing local errands, dry-cleaning runs, and vehicle maintenance.
Maintenance: Managing contractors and tradespeople for any technical or structural repairs on the property.
Requirements and Package
Hours: Monday to Friday -
Salary: £72,000 GPA
Accommodation: A standalone one-bedroom cottage on the estate is provided, with its own kitchen, bathroom, and all utilities covered.
Essential: Both candidates must hold a clean, valid driving licence and have their own vehicle for personal use.
Pets: One well-behaved pet dog may be considered upon vetting.
Start Date: Early 2026 / Flexible.
