Couple Job
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Couple role at a brand new luxury estate in the Outer Hebrides. The position is flexible, welcoming applications from those seeking seasonal work as well as those looking for longer-term employment — please indicate your preference when applying. You will join a wider estate team, providing support across the business to ensure everything runs smoothly and efficiently. We are looking for a Coulple who are strong team players but equally comfortable working independently, taking ownership of their work and consistently delivering a high standard of service. The role will primarily involve the housekeeping and upkeep of the principal lodge and two estate cottages, one of which operates as a highly popular Airbnb.
Due to the remote location of the estate, a clean driving licence is essential
The main duties for the applicant(s) will include, but are not limited to the following:
- · Service and clean all areas of the main house, estate cottages and ancillary buildings per the proprietor’s specification (SOPs can be provided). This will also include arranging additional cleaning help through the establishment of local contacts in the busier periods.
- · Ensure all laundry and ironing is completed and rooms made up in advance of any bookings.
- · Coordination of additional local staff when large groups are staying in the lodge.
- · Undertaking an inventory and record of conditions ahead of paying guests staying
- · Maintain the stocking levels of all consumables.
- · Front of House duties – assisting the family and guests during their stay. For client only stays, this may also require drinks and food service.
- · Fulfil all reasonable requests from family and guests to ensure their comfort, satisfaction and safety.
- · Check in regularly with the Client Agent and flag any health and safety concerns.
- · Maintain personal knowledge by completing in-house training and workbooks.
- · Adhere to all Estate policies and procedures.
- · Liaise with the owner’s Executive Assistant to coordinate stays and visits.
- · Complete all periodical tasks i.e. flipping mattresses, cleaning curtains, dusting lampshades, cleaning windows, checking smoke detectors and CO alarms etc.
- · Shopping and running errands.
- · Flower arranging and ordering flowers
- · Assisting with administrative duties.
- · Driving guests to and from the airport if required if other team members are busy.
- · Managing day-to-day operational decisions within agreed budgets, escalating significant issues to the Client’s Agent
Salary £80,000 GPA
Accommodation – 2 or 3 bedroom cottage – including utility bills and council tax
