Couple Job - Rural Ireland

Greycoat Lumley's client are seeking an experienced Couple for their Private Estate in rural Ireland.  The area is tranquil surroundings with the nearest town 15 minutes away.  A wonderful setting for outdoor pursuits and sense of local community.  The estate has a team of staff, some of which have been there for a number of years.    Applicants must have experience of high level housekeeping, implementing housekeeping systems and procedures, strong self motivation and a clean driver’s license.  This role will suit a Couple with experience in the hospitality industry or private estate/household.

The Principals are looking for a long term commitment, high standards of professionalism and dedication.  The household has three large dogs therefore understanding and like of dogs necessary (shorthair German pointers – nice temperament) 

Duties Include:

  • High level housekeeping: keep all rooms to desired standard and appearance. Reception areas to be kept neat and tidy

  • Hands on cleaning: Responsible for the cleanliness of the entire house kept to a five star standard

  • Implement housekeeping systems and procedures 

  • Daily WHATSAPP dialogue with owner

  • Running the household members of staff whilst working along side them

  • Liaison with Estate Manager

  • Training to requirements of the household 

  • Special care of specific delicate surfaces/ finishes

  • Knowledge (or prepared to learn) and care of antique furniture and furnishings 

  • High standard laundry skills to be observed/maintained 

  • Manage and coordinate extra support housekeeping staff for parties/ events

  • Maintain stocks of cleaning supplies 

  • Arranging breakfast and table laying for other meals while family members are in residents

  • Dog responsibilities when employers/ family not in residents. (Training available to candidate by professional dog trainer)

  • Understanding of and awareness for security considerations

  • Fire safety (in-house training available) 

  • St John’s Ambulance certificate (in-house training available) 

Confidentiality and discretion are vital - NDA to be signed

Accommodation:  Cottage with own garden, 100m from the main house - all bills are included

Start:  ASAP

Combined Salary: £6,000 net per month
