Couple Job - Housekeeper/Domestic Help and Caretaker – Argyll Scotland

 

Greycoat Lumley’s client are seeking a Couple for a Privately owned estate in Argyll.

Applicants must be able to work in a formal environment and commit long term to the role.  This is a wonderful opportunity to work and live in a stunning location with plenty of outdoor activities, water sports, restaurants and hotels close by.

 

Housekeeper Duties Include:

The work entailed is varied and interesting and the primary responsibilities will be maintaining a high standard of cleanliness and order in the property

  • Housekeeping - Maintaining the private apartments in pristine condition at all times.
  • Turn down of guest bedrooms when necessary.
  • All laundry pertaining to family and private side.
  • Care of antiques, artwork and fine furnishings.
  • Flower arranging.
  • Helping at Family and events.
  • Winter/Spring deep clean
  • Fire safety & First Aid
  • Servicing and housekeeping of a selection of holiday cottages located on the Estate
  • Pet care (1 dog)
  • Maintaining confidentiality at all times.

 

Caretaking Duties Include: 

  • Some internal and external light maintenance, repairs and painting
  • Public and private security protocol and systems
  • Attending to open fires, heating system and alarms
  • Fire safety & first aid
  • Janitor duties
  • Taking appropriate action in the property in the event of an emergency, fire/security officer
  • Some driving and light maintenance of vehicles
  • Risk Assessment compliance. good health & safety knowledge, including an ability to work safely at height
  • Refuse disposal
  • Assist with deliveries
  • Helping at functions and occasional butler duties
  • Routine inspections of both main property and grounds
  • The ability and willingness to adapt and embrace an evolving set of tasks is paramount
  • Winter/Spring Cleaning
  • Occasional dog sitting and walking
  • Working with the general public and high net worth guests
  • Maintenance and upkeep of a selection of holiday cottages
  • Maintaining confidentiality at all times

No pets allowed.

 

Hours:  45 per week – with flexibility required (5 days working with 2 off)

 

Accommodation:   A modern, part furnished two-bedroomed flat.  Council Tax, electricity, heating and telephone rental will be paid by the employers.
