Live-in our Out Assistant to lively elderly couple in the Highlands of Scotland
Greycoat Lumley's client are looking for a caring, warm and reliable person (*ideally based in Scotland) with a broad range of skills to support a lively elderly couple in a fully staffed household in the Highlands. This role does not include personal care.
Responsibilities:
- Working as part of an established team of household staff and estate manager (who lives on site)
- Companionship - generally walks and chats
- Assisting with ordering online and basic correspondence
- Driving the couple on outings and regular appointments
- Errand running
- Managing medical appointments
- Occasional food preparation and washing up after meals
- Tidying and organising
Ad hoc duties as required
Candidate requirements:
- Must have experience working with the Elderly.
- Trustworthy, DBS Checked or willing to do so, with excellent checkable references.
- Confident computer skills essential.
- Able to work both independently and collaboratively, communicating well with family and other staff members.
- Flexible, “can do” attitude.
- A sense of fun a plus.
- Full UK driving licence (car provided for local travel).
- Willing to follow the routine and choices of the couple.
- Enjoy nature and the outdoors
- Excellent English.
- Right to work in UK.
- Pet Friendly Household.
Location: Close to Forres, Moray Coast. 40minutes to Inverness.
Working Hours & Salary: Full time – 5 days each week
Accommodation: Provided locally or would suit someone local within weekly commuting distance of Forres
Start Date: Immediate or as agreed, flexible for the right candidate
Salary: Around £40,000 (Salary is based on experience and skills) Generous according to experience
