Housekeeper/Cook Job or Couple Job Leicestershire - 2 bed cottage - £40,000 to £45,000 GPA for the Housekeeper and £70,000+ for a full-time Couple
A beautiful 550 acre country estate in Leicestershire is seeking an experienced Live-in Housekeeper/Cook.
This is a rare opportunity to step into a long-term role with a highly regarded household, as the current Housekeeper is retiring after 20 years of service. The role offers excellent accommodation in a recently renovated 2-bedroom cottage and would equally suit a single Housekeeper/Cook or a Domestic Couple. Additional work could be offered on the estate for a partner.
Job duties:
Responsibilities of the Live-in Housekeeper/Cook in Leicestershire, include:
Full housekeeping of the 9-bedroom, 9-bathroom main residence
Supervising and working alongside two part-time cleaners
Laundry, ironing, and wardrobe management
Shopping and running errands locally
Dog care and occasional overnight stay in the main house when Principals are away
Liaising with the kitchen gardener and managing household produce
Preparing a variety of fresh and nutritious, home cooked meals for the principals
Coordinating with external caterers for dinner parties and events
General household support, ensuring smooth day to day running
Candidates must be / have:
Proven experience working in a private household, ideally in a country house setting
Warm, positive personality with strong communication skills
Confident working both independently and as part of a team
Comfortable with occasional front-of-house duties
Full, clean driving licence (estate vehicle provided for work use)
Strong references from previous employers
Accommodation: A beautifully renovated 2-bedroom semi-detached cottage on the estate, complete with a wood-burning stove and detached garage. - partners and pets considered sorry no dependents. Rent free.
Full-time, 40 hours per week mostly working Monday – Friday, with flexibility for an average of 2 weekends per month. Hours will be discussed in advance with the Principals to assist planning.
Salary & Benefits: £40,000 - £45,000 per annum depending on experience. £70,000+ for a full-time Couple
