Live out Housekeeper/Cook Job in Notting Hill, West London

A returning client of Greycoat Lumleys is looking for a skilled Housekeeper/Cook to join their family on a full-time basis. This is an informal, down-to-earth family. The household consists of a couple and their 2 children, aged 9 and 12 years old. They reside in a spacious 3-floor, 5-bedroom family home that features modern finishes. The main responsibilities of the housekeeper will include maintaining a clean and organised home, ensuring that every area is tidy and inviting. Additionally, the housekeeper will take charge of preparing healthy, unprocessed meals for the family, as they particularly enjoy Mediterranean cuisine.

Duties to include:

  • Cleaning

  • Laundry, which includes hand washing and ironing

  • Preparing healthy dinners for the family daily

  • Occasionally picking up children from school or taking them to activities (school is nearby, and cab fare is covered if you take the children to activities)

  • Letting contractors into the home

  • Dealing with parcels

  • Grocery shopping (batch order done online, only the fresh meat and fish to be purchased)

  • Putting away groceries

  • Polishing silver

  • Assisting the family when they entertain, typically once a quarter

The perfect candidate for this position will possess prior experience in a similar role. The family is looking for someone dependable, trustworthy, organised, and hardworking.

Hours: Monday to Friday, 8 to 9 hours per day, to finish at 7 pm
