Live in Couple Job, Surrey

Live in Couple required for a lovely family in Surrey. The family have 4 grown up children who are not at home full-time but come and go during the holidays and some weekends.

As a Housekeeper you will clean a lovely informal relaxed family home with 10 bedrooms and large living areas. 4 of the bedrooms are guest rooms and are not used regularly.

The family have 3 dogs who you should be happy to look after when the family are away, you will be required to take them to the Groomer and vets as and when and walk the dogs daily  

The Manor House sits in fantastic grounds of approx. 45 acres, 5 acres of formal garden they have also recently developed a vineyard as part of the estate.

An Estate Manager and Gardener are employed full-time to maintain the gardens.

Garden Maintenance duties:

  • You will work closely with the gardening team, which will include mowing, strimming, chain saw work

  • General caretaking duties as well as looking after plants

  • Security of the property

  • Animal care (you will need to stay in the main property when the principals are away to look after the dogs)

  • Pool maintenance

  • Driving duties and taking cars for services

  • Assisting in the vineyard with preparing packages and meeting customers.

This is an excellent role for someone who enjoys being outdoors and wants to learn more about gardening and vineyard work as there is so many different aspects to the estate and there is some great knowledge to learn off including the principals who are hands on in running the estate.

You will also be required to help out at the Vineyard during the harvesting season, no knowledge required.

Housekeeper duties to include:

  • Hands on cleaning

  • Family laundry and ironing

  • Running errands

  • Light Garden maintenance (watering etc)

  • Driving duties and taking cars for services

  • Occasional food prep

  • Assisting in the vineyard with preparing packages and meeting customers.

As a Couple you should be happy to work as part of a team and help each other where required be able to take initiative and have high standards of work as well as be animal lovers. The family also have office staff who work at the house part –time. 

Hours: Monday to Friday: 8:30am – 5:30pm. Occasional weekends will be required

Accommodation: 1 or 2 bedroom flat. No pets.

Salary: £60,000 - £70,000 gross per annum, depending on experience

Starts: Flexible for the right Couple

Drivers: Essential both drive, a car is provided for personal use
