Live-In Housekeeper, Surrey
A warm and welcoming family in Surrey are seeking an experienced, proactive Live-In Housekeeper to manage their 6-bedroom home. The ideal candidate will be friendly, approachable, and happy to be around, with excellent organisational skills, a “can-do” attitude, and strong English communication. The successful candidate will maintain a beautifully organised home, prepare simple meals such as roast chicken or other family-style dishes, and care for the family’s two friendly dogs as if they were their own.
The family travel frequently—typically more than 12 weeks per year—so independence, trustworthiness, and the ability to keep the household running smoothly while they are away are essential. The role involves keeping all areas of the home clean, tidy, and well-organised, managing supplies and food stock, and assisting with light hosting when required.
- Housekeeping: cleaning, tidying, organising cupboards and wardrobes to a high standard
- Laundry and ironing, including delicate items
- Simple meal preparation and assisting with occasional entertaining
- Dog care: walks, feeding, and companionship
- Managing household supplies and errands
- Maintaining a secure, welcoming home
A driver is required. Car provided for work purposes.
Start date: January 2026
Accommodation: Self-contained 2-bedroom annex with separate entrance. A small dog may be considered.
Working week: Monday to Friday, with occasional weekend work
Hours: 7:30am–1:00pm and 2:30pm–6:00pm
Salary: £40,000 gross per annum
