Part Time Live in Couple Job in Devon
We have a lovely position for a returning client of Greycoat’s who is looking for a part time couple to look after their beautiful second residence in rural Devon. They only require the couple to work 40 hours a week combined. The family have dogs and cats that will need to be looked after when they are away.
The ideal Couple will be flexible, hardworking, sensible and easy going. The Housekeeper will only be required to work approximately 25 hours a week, whilst the Groundsman/Handyman will be required to work approximately 15 hours a week, with the hours varying according to the time of year.
Duties will involve but not be limited to:
- Keeping the house clean and tidy
- Laundry and ironing
- Preparing the house for the family’s arrival
- Running errands and shopping
- Garden maintenance
- Maintaining the vegetable garden and fruit cage
- Pond maintenance
- Handyman duties - minor repairs, basic DIY
- Liaising with and supervising contractors
- House and pet sitting
Start: February, but possibly sooner for the right Couple.
Accommodation: a 1-bedroom annexe. Utility bills will be included. Pets will be considered.
Salary: £40,000 gross per annum combined
Working week: Monday to Friday, with occasional weekend work.
Hours: 40 hours a week combined (20 hours each per week). Hours might vary according to the time of year
They are happy that the successful candidates find other jobs locally to supplement their pay (as long as this does not conflict with our agreed arrangements).
Driving: Ideally both must be able to drive as it is a very rural area.
