Live out Housekeeper/Laundress Job in Hampstead, North West London
A lovely Greycoats client is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Housekeeper/Laundress to join their household. This is a full-time position working alongside another full-time housekeeper in a spacious family home.
The role places a strong emphasis on wardrobe management, laundry, and garment care, so candidates must be confident handling delicate items, handwashing, ironing, and carrying out simple sewing and alterations.
The property is arranged over three floors with seven bedrooms.
Duties to include:
- General housekeeping and daily cleaning
- Maintaining exceptionally high standards throughout the home
- Making beds and tidying rooms
- Full wardrobe organisation and management
- Packing and unpacking for travel
- Laundry care, including handwashing delicate garments
- Ironing business shirts and a variety of clothing
- Simple sewing and minor clothing alterations
Parking is available on the premises.
Candidate requirements:
- Proven experience in a similar private household role
- Strong knowledge of wardrobe management and garment care
- Confidence handling delicate and high-value clothing
- Easy-going, proactive, and able to work independently
- A positive attitude and strong attention to detail
The ideal candidate for this role will have experience in a similar position and be confident in wardrobe management and laundry. The family has many delicate clothing items, so you must be skilled at handwashing them. They are looking for someone easy-going, proactive, and a self-starter.
House: 3 floors with 7 bedrooms
Days: Monday - Friday
Hours: 9 pm - 5 pm - Flexible for the right person
