Live out Rota Housekeeper Job in Marylebone, London
A lovely family in Marylebone is seeking two experienced Rota Housekeepers to join their fully staffed household. The family consists of a couple and their six-year-old daughter, living in a beautiful four-bedroom Georgian home arranged over four floors. The property includes 4 bedrooms, a walk-in dressing room, two kitchens, a laundry room, etc. and features delicate interiors with antiques and sensitive surfaces such as hardwood, carpeted and marble floors, silver and antiques. The household is supported by rota nannies who are responsible for the daughter’s bedroom and laundry, as well as a chef, two rota housekeepers (including you), and a Head Housekeeper whom you will report to. The family also has two small pet dogs, so a dog-friendly candidate is essential. The family only use eco-friendly cleaning products and avoids harsh chemicals and single-use plastic.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a highly professional housekeeper with experience in a private household. The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years of continuous private household experience, have worked in a team previously, maintain exceptionally high standards, and be reliable, trustworthy, and flexible. The role will suit someone who is organised and proactive, and who enjoys working as part of a team in a well-run household.
Duties to include:
- Maintain all areas of the house to a consistently high standard of cleanliness and organisation
- Laundry and ironing
- Wardrobe management
- Dog walking 2–3 times per day (20-30 minutes each walk)
- Plant care
- Assisting the Head Housekeeper with packing and unpacking when the family travels
- Preparing a simple breakfast for the family
- Answering the door and assisting with general household tasks
- Running errands, including trips to the dry cleaners
- Cooking family meals on weekends
- Other ad hoc duties as required
House: Four bedrooms across four storeys
Pets: Two small pet dogs
Working week: Rota shifts – Wednesday to Sunday & Friday to Tuesday, 44 hours per week, 7 am – 3 pm (weekdays), 8 am – 6 pm (weekends), including a 1-hour lunch break
Salary: up to £48,000 gross per annum (depending on experience)
Benefits: Private Health Care, Life Insurance, Yearly Discretionary Bonus and 33 days of holiday per annum, including bank holidays
