Part-time Housekeeper Job in Highgate, North London
A new client of Greycoat Lumleys is looking for a part-time Housekeeper for their two-bedroom flat in Highgate. The property spans approximately 900 sq ft and is home to a couple with two young children, aged 18 months and 4.5 years old.
The ideal candidate will be a self-starter who is able to use their initiative well, carry out their duties to high standards, and have excellent attention to detail and a methodical approach. The family is looking for someone trustworthy, proactive, child-friendly, and who has good communication skills. The successful candidate should be comfortable keeping an eye on the children for about 30 minutes to an hour on occasion if mum needs to pop out.
The interior of the home features marble countertops, wooden and carpeted floors, and porcelain surfaces in the bathroom, all of which require careful maintenance and attention.
Duties include:
- Cleaning
- Laundry and ironing
- Making beds and changing bed linen
- Organising cupboards and shelves
- Keeping the home tidy and well-presented
- Deep cleaning (once every month)
- Help keep an eye on the children occasionally if mum is busy / needs to pop out – 30 minutes to an hour or so
House: Two-bedroom flat, over approximately 900 sq ft
Days: 4- 5 half days, or three full days per week (within the work week) – happy to be flexible for the right person
Hours: To be agreed – approximately 18–20 hours per week – happy to be flexible for the right person
Salary: £19–£20 gross per hour (open to payroll and self-employment)
