Live-out Part-time Housekeeper Job in Newbury
We have a lovely position for an experienced and proactive Housekeeper to join a welcoming family who have recently relocated to Newbury from London. The family live in a beautiful five-bedroom home and are looking for someone reliable, organised, and warm to help manage the household on a part-time basis.
The family have four children aged 15, 13, 12, and 8, who all attend boarding school during term time. During the week, the role will focus on housekeeping, laundry, and preparing simple family meals. During school holidays, the housekeeper will assist with some supervision of the children, and driving the children to local activities. There is also a cat in the house.
This role would suit a candidate who takes pride in maintaining a family home to a high standard and enjoys working independently in a friendly, informal environment.
Duties to include but not limited to:

Daily housekeeping and cleaning of the family home

Laundry, ironing, and changing bed linens

Light family cooking (simple, healthy meals)

Household organisation and upkeep

Running errands and managing household supplies

Assisting with childcare during school holidays

Driving duties (school runs, activities)
This is a long-term position for someone who enjoys their work, is child-friendly, and has a flexible, can-do attitude.
Start Date: Flexible
Working Week: Monday to Friday, 25 hours per week (5 hours per day)
Salary: £19–£22 gross per hour (depending on experience)
